We take the long-term view with respect to investing for retirement, and offer outstanding retirement and savings plans to eligible clergy and lay employees:

Clergy Retirement Security Program (CRSP)

CRSP provides both a defined benefit and a defined contribution plan to clergy of The United Methodist Church.

Retirement Plan for General Agencies (RPGA)

RPGA is a defined contribution retirement plan for lay and clergy employees of United Methodist general agencies that offers an account balance they can access after retirement as their needs require.

United Methodist Personal Investment Plan (UMPIP)

UMPIP provides retirement benefits and savings opportunities to clergy and lay employees of United Methodist churches, general agencies and other Church-related organizations.

Horizon 401(k) Plan (Horizon)

Horizon provides retirement benefits and savings opportunities to lay employees of United Methodist churches and church-related organizations, including eligible for-profit organizations.

Ministerial Pension Plan (MPP)

MPP was replaced by the Clergy Retirement Security Program effective January 1, 2007. However, if you have an MPP account, it will continue to be invested, and you will receive benefits from the plan as before.

Pre-82 Plan

The Pre-82 Plan was replaced by MPP effective January 1, 1982. However, if you were eligible to participate and were vested in the Pre-82 Plan, you will receive benefits from the plan as before.

Collins Pension Plan for Missionaries

The Collins Pension Plan for Missionaries provides eligible missionaries serving the General Board of Global Ministries with a monthly retirement benefit for their lifetime.
