July Retirement Payment Timing Affected by July 4 Holiday
Wednesday, June 20, 2012
July 2012 payments for newly retired participants will be issued by the General Board on Tuesday, July 3. However, receipt of July payments could be delayed due to the July 4 Independence Day holiday. Participants who elected direct deposit should receive their payments by July 5. Participants who elected payment via U.S. Mail should allow up to 10 business days after July 3 for receipt of their checks. This timing applies only to new retirees who submit valid reimbursement forms to the General Board by June 22.
After initial retirement, the General Board issues subsequent retirement payments on the first business day of each month.
