Comprehensive Protection Plan (CPP)

The Comprehensive Protection Plan (CPP) provides death, long-term disability and other welfare benefits for eligible clergy of The United Methodist Church and their families.

CPP is an Internal Revenue Code 414(e) "church plan" funded by plan sponsor insurance premiums.

Who is Eligible?

Bishops, clergy under episcopal appointment (compensation requirements apply) and employees of CPP plan sponsors. Other eligibility requirements may apply. Your plan sponsor will enroll you once you are eligible to participate.
