Lynette Davis Rice, CPA, CFP

Lynette Rice joined the General Board of Pension and Health Benefits in 2007 as a benefits education specialist. Prior to joining the General Board, Lynette and her associates at L.D. Rice & Associates provided financial planning and planned giving services to the Current & Deferred Giving program of the General Board of Global Ministries for more than 17 years. In addition to preparing comprehensive financial plans for individuals, many of whom were United Methodist clergy and their families, L. D. Rice & Associates presented seminars on financial planning issues and charitable giving.

Lynette earned a master's degree in management from the Kellogg Graduate School of Management of Northwestern University in Evanston, Ill., and a bachelor's in music from Roosevelt University in Chicago. She has been a CPA for more than 30 years and a Certified Financial Planner (CFP) for 15 years.

Lynette and her husband are the proud parents of two college-aged daughters. She is an active member of Grace United Methodist Church in Lake Bluff, Ill., where she is serving as a lay member to Annual Conference. She also has served as a lay leader, a member of the mission team and as chair of the Staff Parish committee. She also is a member of the Northern Illinois Conference Pension Committee and has served in other capacities in the United Methodist Church.
