The Center for Health is unique in that its multi-dimensional health and wellness focus is specific to the UMC target population.
Center for Health offerings include:
- Strategic Consultation and Collaboration for plan sponsors including assessment, design, strategy development, implementation, and communication
- Programs and Information including comprehensive and trusted source of health and wellness information; participant workshops and education tailored by clergy career stage, gender, health condition and risk factors; best in class wellness program offerings
- Monitoring and Assessment including long-term clergy health status; annual health assessments, follow-up and reporting; program efficacy
- Network Coordination with potentially other UMC agencies, conferences, health programs and resources
Health lasts a lifetime. Health affects the whole connection: family, congregation, community and the wider Church itself. Improving the health of clergy and lay workers is essential to maintaining the strength, vitality and reach of the Church’s mission and ministry.
