All active clergy members of the Iowa, Illinois Great Rivers, Dakotas, Missouri, Minnesota, Nebraska, Northern Illinois and Wisconsin conferences: The General Board of Pension and Health Benefits of The United Methodist Church invites you to attend the Clergy Benefits Academy! New ordinands, mid-career clergy, ready-to-retire clergy, district superintendents, clergy in extension ministries...you are invited! There's something for everyone!
This year, the Clergy Benefits Academy will be held October 4-6, 2010 in West Des Moines, Iowa. This event is a unique opportunity to learn about the many benefit issues that affect your life and ministry. You can even earn continuing education units (CEUs) for attending the Clergy Benefits Academy.
Event Information
The Clergy Benefits Academy begins at 1:00 p.m. on Monday, October 4 with worship and an opening plenary session. The event will conclude on Wednesday, October 6 at 4:30 p.m.
The classes are scheduled on a track, so you can attend each session. Your assigned track will be provided to you when you arrive at the event at the registration table.
You can earn 1.5 CEUs if you complete 10 classes and 1 CEU if you complete seven classes. At event registration, you will receive a passport that will be stamped at the completion of each class. This passport will help us determine the CEUs to be awarded at the conclusion of the event.
Details & Registration
Register for ONLY $99.00 ($169.00 with spouse) by August 27, 2010. Registration after this date is $129.00 ($199.00 with spouse). The fee includes:
- breakfast and lunch on Tuesday and Wednesday,
- refreshment breaks, and
- Academy materials.
